Governance & Public Information
Public service requires public accountability.
The district is governed locally, with an elected board responsible for stewardship of the public resources that support ambulance service.
District oversight
A focused public body with a clear responsibility.
The South Barry County Ambulance District was formed by voters and remains accountable to the community it serves. The elected board provides governance, financial oversight, long-range planning, and performance oversight for the district’s emergency medical service partnership.
Mercy EMS manages day-to-day ambulance operations under contract. The district provides local oversight and the public framework behind that service partnership.
